TASK 11 LETTER TO LECTURER

15 DECEMBER 2019.
LOT UEB 16, KAMPUNG MENERONG,
06400 POKOK SENA,
KEDAH DARUL AMAN.
Dear Dr. Dayang Salwani and Dr. Mickey Vincent,
My purpose in writing this letter is to describe and explain what I learned from the biochemistry course along this first semester in UNIMAS. After what I learned about biochemistry to this day, I have benefited from a deeper study of biochemistry. I am grateful and thankful to the lecturer who are Dr Dayang Salwani and Dr Mickey Vincent for helping me and my colleagues in discussing and explaining in an easy-to-understand way each topic in biochemistry. Using the e-portfolio method, I was happy and excited to study biochemistry although at first I was a bit hard to accept but I gradually fell in love with the specialty of biochemistry. In addition, it raised many questions and sparked a curiosity among my friends, which led us to go further and deeper to learn a topic covered in this course. For example, in one assignment which requiring us to publish one video to describe the process involved in Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle and Electron Transports System. We've spent our time making enough preparations to present the discussion. With what we learn has been etched in our minds, we have a better understanding of what is being discussed among our peers and also create the most effective way to make it easier for students to understand in a short time.

Moreover, with the knowledge in biochemistry, I can identify one importance of biochemistry in agriculture. Agriculture biochemistry plays a valuable and vital role in farming which preventing dangerous diseases, establishing the treatment of diseases and also increasing e the production or yield. For Dr. information, my mother was one of those involved in cultivation and my grandmother owned many gardens such as durian orchard, rambutan, mangosteen and most of all was a banana orchard. At first, our banana plantation did not succeed and many were damaged then eventually died. I took this opportunity to find a way to solve this problem by doing a research on fertiliser as I had the fundamentals knowledge learned in biochemistry at UNIMAS. Luckily, I have found best fertiliser for banana cultivation. First, to have good fruiting and healthy fruit trees, they need full sun, organic matter, and lots of fertilizer as they are heavy feeders. Therefore, banana fertilizer needs to include a high amount of NPK which are Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. For gaining high portion of bananas, we need to feed it regularly. A balanced formula makes an excellent banana fertilizer and can be used regularly which provides the plant with a sufficient amount of all the necessary micro and secondary nutrients needed.

With what I gained from this knowledge, my mother was very proud and happy to have come up with a solution to improve the way our family cultivated crops. So, I’m not at loss if I study this biochemistry, besides gaining useful knowledge, I can enlarge my mother's and grandmother's crop production in the village too! Interestingly enough to know that banana plants are not trees at all but they are the world’s largest herb. The main stem is the fruiting stem enrobed by large leaves and the size of the plant which makes people assume it’s a tree. I was touched to learn more by studying biochemistry. Millions of thanks to the creators of plant fertilizers and to the lecturers who specialize in biochemistry for your lecture from first class until this day.

 Sincerely,

-          He also complained of lethargy, tremors of hands and arms.
-          What are the causes of these symptom?
-          What is the possible disease that is related to the symptom?

-          He also experiencing anxiety, sweating and hunger.
-          What is the relationship between anxiety and tremors?
-          What are the causes of over sweating and hunger?
-          Tremors are a common symptom of starvation. However, anxiety will only worsened tremors.
-          For over sweating Hyperhidrosis Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid)
